Background

The Kal Tire RTO became Registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) on 12 Sept 2017. It started operations on 1 Jan 2018.

Kal Tire RTO is permitted to train and assess all the units of competency which make up AUR21916 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology.

To be competitive with other OTR tyre RTOs the decision was made to provide training and assessment in all the units of AUR21916. 14 units of competency go to make up a qualification with 4 core units and 10 electives. The details of the AUR21916 qualification can be found here.

We have developed a suite of new resources and these are in use around the country and overseas for our external clients. They can be found here. Please take the time to review these.
All trainees joining the team go through training and assessment in AUR21916 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology. Existing team members will also be given the chance to gain this qualification by Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
